What’s the one food that makes you fart more than any other? I’m guessin’ most of you said, “Beans.” I heartily agree.
And don’t we all know that familiar jingle:
Beans, beans, the musical fruit,
The more you eat, the more you toot,
The more you toot, the better you feel,
So eat your beans at every meal.
That silly old rhyme happens to be right on. If you want to feel better by decreasing your risk of heart attack and more, start eating a cup of beans every day. A recent research study has shown this to be true for those with diabetes.* That means a daily cup of beans can help those who don’t have diabetes avoid it.
Important heads up
This study is talking about dried, cooked beans like pintos, garbanzos, lentils, black beans, lima beans, navy beans, etc. Green beans don’t have the same effects.
