Traveling Cooler

the cooler filled up and in the car to travel

Most of us will be hitting the road some length of time and miles this holiday season. For me, I have a 1990-mile round-trip trek this year. Yes, that’s a lot of miles and a lot of fast food places along the way.

Over the years I’ve collected a variety of coolers on various road trips.  I’m all about traveling with food. If I don’t, I’m usually not thinking too much before I pull in a drive thru to order a value meal that really doesn’t bring much “value” to my health or waistline.

The holidays are already hard enough to maintain my weight, so my trusty cooler will be a great sidekick filled with my favorite fruits, nuts, veggies, hummus, and other fiber-rich sandwich fixings.

What foods do you like to travel with?
