Why Plate Size Matters

For a bigger difference on the scale, eat your supper off a dessert sized plate. This isn’t a new concept, in fact an old proverb advises us to “eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and supper like a pauper”.

Why? Same reason planes get fueled up BEFORE take off. If you consume most of your calories early in the day, the body has time to use them up instead of storing them as fat. In fact, by eating a bigger breakfast you will naturally eat less at lunch and supper. You may find that by suppertime, you’re not even that hungry.

The plates are still “Full Plates,” no deprivation here. It’s just healthier to move a good chunk of your daily calories to breakfast.

If the ideas above don’t sound too appealing, don’t worry. Simply eating dinner from your dessert plate will greatly reduce the amount of food you consume.
