Berry Topping

Drizzle this berry topping on pancakes instead of syrup.

This fresh berry topping is the perfect healthy alternative to syrup for pancakes, waffles, and even ice cream, especially if you have diabetes.


  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup blackberries (fresh or frozen unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen unsweetened)
  • 2 teaspoons honey


Thaw berries if frozen. In a blender on high setting, blend 1/2 cup of strawberries until creamy, about 1 minute. Mix the strawberries with the remaining ingredients. Serve over waffles as is or slightly warm in a saucepan or microwave before serving.
