Mustardy Brussels Sprouts

The whole grain mustard give these Brussels sprouts a surprisingly delicious kick. Perfect as a side to southwestern cuisine.

Ingredients

32 large Brussels sprouts fresh
4 tablespoons ground mustard seed
2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Bring a large pot of water to boil, then blanch sprouts by cooking them in the water for 3-4 minutes. Remove them and plunge into an ice bath.

Wash Brussels sprouts and trim the bases off. In a large bowl toss the Brussels sprouts with ground mustard seed spice and olive oil. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes

Spread Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and place in oven. Bake for 30 minutes, or until sprouts start to brown
Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
