Split Pea Soup

  • 1 cup split peas dry
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup celery diced
  • 1/2 cup carrots diced
  • 1/4 cup onion diced
  • 1 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons onion flakes dried
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme fresh


In a covered medium size pot, bring split peas and water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer covered for 45 minutes.
